GRIPS Translation
The information units created can be translated specifically for a defined publication. With automated control of the translation process using GRIPS, only those information units that are required for the publication and are not already available in translation are issued for translation.
Due to the content's intelligent (semantic) structures, data can be partly converted (e.g. to different measurement units) or pre-translated by GRIPS itself. All information units that are not translated fully automatically are prepared for translation with the aid of translation memory systems so that all the translator must do is translate the text as yet un-translated content in its context.
Each translated information unit is imported by GRIPS automatically and marked as a language counterpart of the information unit in the original language. Thus it is possible at any time to establish whether a valid translation of an information unit exists.
Since GRIPS stores the data in Unicode, translations can be managed in all currently known fonts, in other words including those that use Asian and Eastern European characters.
